As fiduciaries we are entrusted and required by law to put our client’s best interest first at all times. Similar to the Hippocratic Oath for physicians, the Fiduciary Standard places us under both a legal and moral obligation to put our clients’ best interest ahead of our own. You might find it odd (as we do) that not all financial advisors are held to this same standard. In many cases, financial advisors are simply held to a Suitability Standard, which only requires them to make recommendations that are suitable for their clients, not necessarily what is best for them.
As fee-only advisors, the only compensation we ever receive comes directly from our clients. You can rest assured knowing that the only person we work for is you. We don’t receive commissions, kickbacks, or hidden compensation from any third party for making certain investment recommendations. As fee-only advisors we sit on the same side of the table as you.

Absolutely not. The first meeting is a “get to know you” consultation. In fact, it may take more than one meeting to accomplish this. Although, I am confident that we will provide value from the start, it is very important that both parties feel comfortable before proceeding with an advisory agreement.
Yes. Whether it’s at my office, your home, the local coffee shop, or virtually– we bring the planning and investment advice to you. We will work with anyone who needs help regardless of how much money they have.
It means that my only compensation comes from my clients, not from products or services that I would recommend. I do not sell any financial products, nor do I receive any commissions from mutual funds, custodians, attorneys or CPA’s. I am a fee-only investment advisor, which means my only compensation comes from the services I provide to you. I do not get paid any commissions, kick backs, “trails,” or any other fees other than from the fees I charge you. I am held to the fiduciary standard, which means I have to act in your best interest regardless of the compensation I receive. I believe this is the fairest form of compensation and aligns my interests with yours.

After our initial meeting, I will provide you with a financial plan based on your current financial situation and future goals. Although, we custom tailor each financial plan based on your needs and goals, there are common areas that make up the comprehensive financial planning process which includes budgeting, investments, debt management, insurance, estate planning, tax planning, college savig, employee benefits and retirement planning. Financial planning not only provides a custom roadmap, but more importantly accountability and guidance along the way.

Welcome! I’m originally from Nebraska where I graduated from Hastings College with a degree in Physics and then moved to St. Louis in 1985 to attend Washington University. Shortly after that, I navigated my way to becoming a financial advisor. Initially I worked for large wealth management firms, but found that they spent more time talking about how to make the firm more money than how to make the clients more money.
At that point, I decided to make a change and started my own firm. In 1999, I launched Premier Wealth Advisory Services to help our clients invest smarter, reduce taxes, and retire on their terms.
When I’m not at the office, you will find me spending time with my beautiful wife and two great children, family, friends, or watching every Husker football game with my dad. I love hiking in Colorado, playing tennis, walking and brewing beer with my son.
